A little bit about me …
Hey there, you’ve reached the page of Kegan Kawamura. I’m an LA resident and GNC engineer at Boeing Satellite Systems. I’m into space stuff, flying planes, reading manga, and more.
My interests revolve around continuing and improving access to space for crewed and autonomous spacecraft. My skills lie in the intersection of control systems and software engineering, where I support mechanical and aerospace engineers in creating algorithms and simulations that aid in designing robust spacecraft. My hope is to become closely involved with NASA’s astronaut program and promote a world in which nations can peacefully coexist in the final frontier.
Outside of work, I enjoy reading manga, watching movies, and listening to music for DJ-ing. I’ve been involved with running, swimming, and cycling in the past, activities which I still occasionally partake in for fitness purposes or for fun. Recently, I’ve been working towards my Private Pilot’s License and exploring the national and state parks of California.
